Touch Association Pilipinas sent a delegation of homegrown talent to take part in the highest level of touch football competiton at the Touch World Cup 2024 in Nottingham, England. The TWC 2024 campaign served as both a competitive send-off and a cultural statement—positioning Filipino athletes with confidence, pride, and a strong visual identity on the global stage.

Competing internationally meant more than performance—it required a visual identity that could stand shoulder to shoulder with established rugby nations while remaining unmistakably Filipino.
The challenge was to design a campaign and kit system that felt unmistakably Filipino without relying on surface-level clichés. The visuals needed to communicate strength, heritage, unity, and pride, while remaining modern, athletic, and competition-ready.

The creative direction centered on Filipino-forward storytelling, drawing from deep-rooted cultural symbols of protection, strength, and resilience.
Designs take inspiration from unique Filipino cultural elements such as the anting-anting (protective talismans) and traditional Filipino warrior tattoos, reinterpreted through a modern sports lens. These elements were abstracted into graphic systems rather than literal motifs—allowing the identity to feel powerful, contemporary, and globally competitive.

The identity system blends cultural symbolism with performance-driven sports design. Custom patterns, typography, and iconography were developed to work cohesively across men’s, women’s, and mixed divisions.
Typography and graphic accents were designed to echo the geometry and rhythm of traditional markings, while maintaining clarity for numbers, names, and sponsor placements.
National pride was expressed through a bold red-blue-gold palette, anchored by the unmistakably Filipino three-stars and a sun, firmly cementing local identity while ensuring high visibility and maximum visual impact during play.Each piece was designed to make athletes feel empowered, grounded in their roots, and confident stepping onto the global stage.
